Stella McCartney teams up with PETA ahead of London Fashion Week

08 02 2012

Fashion designer Stella McCartney has joined forces with PETA ahead of London Fashion Week, backing the charity's first ever anti-leather campaign.

A viral video exposé of the skins trade features McCartney saying 'As a Designer, I like to work with fabrics that don't bleed. Please join me in exploring the huge variety of fashionable shoes, belts, purses and wallets that aren't the product of a cow's violent death'. Marc Bouwer, Natalie Portman and Joan Jett are also supporting the initiative.
